Adjudication
Michael Wood’s expertise in percussion sends him all over the country to participate in adjudication at Music Fest Regionals. He was a clinician at the Music Fest Nationals in Ottawa in 2006. There, he hosted “Percussionist in the Pit” workshop as well as co-hosting “The Heart of the Band: the Rhythm Section” with pianist Brian Dickinson, bassist Mike Downes and drummer Steve Fidyk. In 2007, he participated as co-clincian with Michael Beauclerc at the Ontario Music Educators Conference "Trillium" in Huntsville. The two clinics, under the banner "Be a Team Player" featured DCI (drum corp international) Connection, and the "Clave is the Key". Both were sponsored by Yamaha Music Canada. Past credits include touring twice with the Ontario Library Services Outreach Program and the Perth Foundation for the Enrichment of Education working with children and youth by enhancing their love of music through drum circles.
